Introduction

Riffle is a documentation synchronization product that bridges Atlassian Confluence and GitHub, enabling teams to version-control their documentation alongside their code.

It addresses a persistent gap in enterprise tooling: visual and textual documentation has historically lived outside the code review workflow, leading to stale docs, untraceable changes, and tribal knowledge.

The product enables organizations to progressively adopt a “docs-as-code” workflow without requiring an immediate culture change. Teams start by mirroring their existing Confluence content to GitHub for audit and version history, then optionally transition to GitHub as the source of truth with Confluence as the reading surface.

AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, Claude, Cursor) are already being used to draft and edit documentation in Markdown. But publishing those edits to Confluence remains a manual, lossy process. Riffle closes this gap — making Git the universal interface between AI-assisted local editing and enterprise documentation platforms.

Any tool that can edit a file and git push can publish to Confluence. This transforms documentation from a maintenance chore into a collaborative, AI-augmented workflow.
